French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the publications of the Russian embassy in social networks, RIA Novosti reports.
It is reported that Macron called unacceptable and propaganda publications of the embassy on Twitter, because of which the Russian ambassador was summoned to the French Foreign Ministry. "We believe in dialogue, we support a respectful dialogue. It was a mistake, it was fixed. I hope it won't happen again," he explained.
On Friday, March 25, Russian Ambassador to Paris Alexey Meshkov was summoned to the French Foreign Ministry. The Russian diplomatic mission noted that Meshkov drew the attention of Paris to the "provocations and acts of vandalism" carried out against Russian foreign institutions.
