The State Duma has prepared amendments that should ensure state regulation of prices for certain goods and services. The initiative was conceived by the relevant Duma committees, they are ready to make amendments, said Alexander Khinshtein, head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy. His statements are quoted by TASS.
According to the deputy, the initiative may affect food, children's goods, construction materials, agricultural fertilizers, agricultural machinery and spare parts, household chemicals, pet supplies, medicines, medicines.
A specific complete list of goods, according to Khinstein, can be formed at the government level. He also suggested taking into account the experience of restrictions during the coronavirus crisis, when a law was passed on the possibility of fixing prices for medicines and medical devices.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, in turn, said earlier that the Cabinet of Ministers had developed a plan to stabilize the Russian economy. Measures, according to him, are needed "for accelerated adaptation to the current situation, support of our citizens and enterprises during the period of turbulence." The relevant decisions are being made against the background of economic sanctions from the West, following the military operation announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the purpose of which was called the "demilitarization and denazification" of Ukraine.
