The American technology corporation IBM announced the termination of the sale of its technologies on the Russian market due to the situation around Ukraine. This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the head of the company Arvind Krishna.
According to him, IMB no longer sells technology in Russia, but takes measures to ensure the safety and support of its employees affected by the crisis. In addition, the company refused to cooperate with "Russian military organizations."
Earlier, Microsoft announced its departure from Russia. However, it is not yet known for how long the work has been suspended and which services will be affected by the measure. The statement says about "new" sales - accordingly, already purchased products like a Windows license will remain with users.
On March 1, Apple announced the termination of sales and servicing in Russia. The company stopped selling equipment through its own website and stopped deliveries to partners. Against this background, the cost of Apple devices has increased. The company will also limit the operation of its services in Russia.
