The United States is "dying from within" because of the migration crisis and the inaction of the authorities. This was stated by former President Donald Trump, his representative Liz Harrington writes on Twitter.
The ex-president complained about millions of illegal migrants who "poison" the United States. According to him, the American authorities in most cases do not even stop and interrogate them. As a solution to the problem, he proposed to complete the wall on the border with Mexico. "This can be done quickly," Trump said.
The former American leader also stressed that many of the illegal immigrants are extremely dangerous criminals from "empty prisons" of other countries, and 97 percent of refugees from Afghanistan should not have ended up in the United States at all. "These people should be checked very carefully, because many of them may be closely associated with terrorism," he added.
On October 20, the United States reported a record number of illegal migrants detained in 35 years. According to the country's Border and Customs Service, in the 2021 reporting year, law enforcement officers managed to catch about 1.7 million violators. Of these, 608 thousand came from Mexico, 657 thousand from Central America, and 367 thousand from South America.
