With the onset of running-back-by-committees around the league, fantasy owners can get away with not grabbing a starting RB in the first two rounds of a draft.
However, this fantasy football draft strategy has a much bigger chance of busting. If you’re going to do it, avoid taking too many trendy sleeper wide receivers.Quantity over quality sometimes works wonders. Chances are good you will at least find a pair of diamonds in the rough.After the top running backs go off the board, grabbing a top receiver like Andre Johnson has become commonplace in fantasy drafts. And then that same owner will take another top-tier wide receiver in the second round.
So in order to avoid having to choose Brett Favre as your starting QB in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts, why not grab a stud in the first round and be done with the position? That’s a clean and easy fantasy football draft strategy.Back in the day, we had to walk five miles, uphill, in the snow, to make our fantasy football selections on draft day. Correspondence was done with the pony express. And we always took running backs in the first two rounds of drafts.If a fraction of your sleepers turn into stars, you’ll have a team set for a playoff run.

The next pick, Round 7, left me bitter and jaded. Many of the hallmarks of being an elite receiving option are present in Brown’s situation, including limited competition among his positional mates, a quarterback with a preference for him, a system that fits his style of play, and passing the eye test.Running backs and receivers, of course, require owners to draft for depth. Sure, they’re all depth, but in the year of COVID-19, who knows how many of these guys could be counted on as lineup fixtures. That said, all of them have clear paths to meaningful playing time.
