French Armed Forces Minister Florence Parly called on NATO partners to accept the prospect of creating a pan-European army. This is reported by The Daily Telegraph.
According to her, the alliance does not need to be afraid of the combat units of the European Union, since the European defense is being built "not in opposition to NATO, but on the contrary, to strengthen and increase the viability of the alliance." The publication drew attention to the fact that Parley's statement was made after Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States concluded a new military alliance AUKUS.
