Moscow and Washington were urged to reset the unhealthy situation of the functioning of diplomatic missions. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, TASS reports.
The diplomat noted that Russia has offered the United States to hold a major dialogue on cybersecurity. The American side replied that the Russian authorities should first solve the problems with hackers.
Lavrov also added that Moscow and Washington will discuss the issues raised at a bilateral meeting in Geneva by Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Joe Biden. "We are planning a meeting of delegations in the coming days, hopefully until mid-July, which should consider the tasks set by the presidents in the field of strategic stability, arms control, arms limitation," he stressed.
On June 29, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington is ready to cooperate with Moscow on issues of mutual interest. "We can work together in strategic areas, such as arms control, cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, the settlement of regional conflicts," he said.
