Министр общественных работ города Хесус Антонио Эстева раскрыл причину обрушения метромоста с поездом в Мехико. Об этом сообщает РИА Новости со ссылкой на местные СМИ.

Глава ведомства рассказал, что конструкция обрушилась из-за структурных дефектов элементов, в частности металлических балок со сборными железобетонными элементами в верхней части. По словам Эстевы, причины трагедии устанавливают специальная комиссия и следователи генеральной прокуратуры.

Ранее сообщалось, что число погибших при обрушении метромоста в Мехико возросло до 20. Среди погибших есть несовершеннолетние. 49 пострадавших были госпитализированы, семь из них в тяжелом состоянии.

Инцидент произошел вечером в понедельник, 3 мая, около 22:30 по местному времени (6:30 вторника, 4 мая, по Москве) на 12-й линии метро рядом со станцией Olivos, обрушился метромост в момент, когда по нему проходил поезд.
