п»їInter Milan v Juventus Build-up & Predicted Score.
Juventus return to the San Siro to take on Inter Milan once more, but this time in the Coppa Italia.
The Old Lady are three matches away from lifting the illustrious trophy, and while neither Napoli or Atalanta will be a pushover in the final, tonight’s opponents appear to be the bigger challenge.
Inter beat Juve just over two weeks ago in Serie A, with our side failing to cause our rivals much problem at all, but we have shown immense fight to get back on track since.
We were unfathomed in our bid to win the Supercoppa Italiana against Napoli, where we put in a dogged performance to win 2-0, and have been picking up stride since.
Juventus are very-much the form team in Italy at present, and you would also think that the latest team news would also be in our favour.
The Bianoneri have eight wins from their last nine matches in all competitions, and have an aggregate score of 10-0 for their four fixtures since that loss to Inter, and will be the more confident of the two sides this evening.
Inter haven’t exactly been plummeting however, with four wins from their last five in all competitions, and it should make for an exciting matchup.
While I know Juventus should be happy to avoid defeat in the away leg of the two-legged cup clash, I feel like the win will come our way regardless. Inter will want to take an advantage to Turin, and I can’t help but feel like we have raised our level beyond that of our rivals.
I’m going for a 2-1 win, although I would certainly not be shocked by seeing our side win more convincingly, while Pirlo will have his side fired up to avenge the previous loss and make a statement of intent to our rivals.
What are your predictions for tonight’s clash?

Watch Cristiano Ronaldo score from tight angle as he punishes Handanovic howler in Juventus’ Coppa Italia win at Inter.
3 Feb 2021, 9:31 Updated : 3 Feb 2021, 9:31.
CRISTIANO RONALDO netted twice as Juventus came back from a goal down to win their Coppa Italia semi-final clash against rivals Inter Milan.
The Portuguese superstar, 35, scored for the first time after a four-game drought to put the Old Lady in charge of the tie ahead of next week's second leg.
Lautaro Martinez had opened the scoring inside ten minutes for title-chasing Inter.
But Ronaldo hit back from the spot, to score his first goal since January 10.
He slammed his brilliant spot-kick straight down the middle into the roof of the net - no blame attached to Handanovic for that one.
Then, with the score tied at 1-1 ten minutes before half-time at the San Siro, Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic made a major error to hand Juventus a second.
The Slovenian came rushing out of his area to try and claim a loose ball.
A lack of communication saw Alessandro Bastoni also go for it - and the defender tried to sweep up by taking a touch.
But his attempt at controlling the situation backfired spectacularly when Ronaldo arrived on the scene to pick his pocket.
And despite the narrowing angle, the Portuguese star made no mistake on the left edge of the box with his so-called 'weaker' foot, the ball clipping the far post on its way into the unguarded net.

Inter Milan vs. Juventus score: Ronaldo gives Juve edge in Coppa Italia semifinal.
The two sides will meet again next week for the second leg.
Two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo gave Juventus a 2-1 victory over Inter Milan on Tuesday in their first leg of a Coppa Italia semifinal. A tightly contested match between the two Serie A rivals came down to a series of defensive errors on Inter's end.
It was a promising start for the home side as they went up early in the ninth minute with a goal from Lautaro Martinez. The Argentinian striker connected on goal after a quick counter from Inter led by Alexis Sanchez and Nicolo Barella with the conversion from Martinez putting Inter in the drivers' seat early. The lead would only stand for 17 minutes as a poor foul from Ashley Young on Juan Cuadrado gave Juventus a penalty kick. Ronaldo converted for the equalizer in the 26th minute.
Ronaldo would also connect on the game-winner for Juventus which came in the 35th minute after the striker applied pressure and a miscommunication between defender and keeper led to a wide open net for Ronaldo to put Juventus ahead, 2-1.
Despite Juventus being the more in-form of the two sides, the match played out fairly even, with both teams getting opportunities on the ball and nearly splitting possession. Despite spending time in final thirds and getting into dangerous spaces, the two teams exchanged shots into the second half, but nobody found the back of the net.
Highlights.
Ronaldo's game winner: Terrible failure to communicate between Bastoni and Handanovic as they fail to recognize pressure from Ronaldo. The Portuguese international forced the turnover and buried a goal into an open net with the keeper out of place for the go ahead goal.
Looking ahead.
A second leg awaits the two clubs on Feb. 9 with Juventus leading on aggregate. Inter did well to test Juventus throughout, though they were without their prolific striker Romalu Lukaku due to a suspension. Juventus will play host while Inter try to tighten up the defense in an effort to pull off the upset, while both sides await the result of Napoli and Atalanta.

Inter vs Juventus LIVE REACTION: Vidal and Barella on target as Inter punish Ronaldo’s Juve – latest updates.
17 Jan 2021, 22:44 Updated : 17 Jan 2021, 22:44.
Invalid Date,
INTER MILAN downed Juventus 2-0 at San Siro in the Serie A clash tonight.
Arturo Vidal and Nicolo Barella were on the scoresheet as Inter drew level with league leaders AC Milan.
Follow ALL of the latest reaction below.
THAT’S ALL FROM SAN SIRO.
Inter Milan picked up a comfortable 2-0 win over Juventus in the Derby d’Italia at the San Siro.
Inter controlled the tempo throughout the entire encounter and opened the scoring after just 12 minutes when Nicolo Barella’s perfect cross from the right found Arturo Vidal who headed the ball to the back of his former club’s net to score a goal which he didn’t celebrate.
The Nerazzurri could have doubled their lead before half-time if Lautaro Martinez hadn’t missed in front of open goal shortly after Vidal’s opener.
But Lautaro’s miss didn’t cost Antonio Conte’s team as Barella doubled the lead in the 52 nd minute thanks to a clinical strike.
But that goal comes down to Alessandro Bastoni’s incredible cross from defence, which saw the ball reaching the midfielder in Juventus’ half – that was definitely the best assist in the Serie A this season.
Although the Bianconeri came close to a goal with Weston McKennie’s header and Federico Chiesa’s strike they still failed to respond.
Thank you for following the action with us and have a lovely night!
Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte hinted that Inter Milan could be capable of challenging for the Serie A title this season.
Conte described his team as "credible" and suggested there's more to come this term.
The Inter manager told Sky Sports: “I saw a credible Inter, after a year and a half of work Inter are back to being credible.
"Sorry for the elimination in the Champions League, we could have done more, but the disappointments must heal the wounds ".
Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo insists that only he holds responsibility for tonight's result.
Pirlo told Sky Sports: "We were too slow to make the ball turn in front, we wanted the one against one of Chiesa and on the other side the insertion of Ramsey.
"We found few through balls between the midfielders, the game was too slow.
"First of all, always wrong the coach, I take my responsibilities . "
Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo admitted that tonight's performance against Inter Milan was indeed below par.
Pirlo told Sky Sports: "We were thinking about tonight's match, we had the wrong attitude from the start.
"When you don't have the anger to win duels it becomes difficult. We didn't take the field, we were too passive. We were fearful, we were afraid of Inter's attacking game, we only thought about being defensive, not too aggressively.
"A bad defeat, we didn't expect it, we couldn't have had a worse race than this. We play a final on Wednesday.
"In these games you have to put the same desire and anger as others to be on the same level. We have not put in the agonistic enthusiasm and this is the result ”.
Alessandro Bastoni enjoyed a marvellous night at the San Siro.
Not only did he participate in Inter Milan's first win over Juventus in almost five years.
Not only did he produce what seems to be the best assist of the season.
But he also made history.
Inter Milan star Arturo Vidal opened the scoring against his former club and believes the Nerazzurri have what it takes to win the title this season.
Vidal told Sky Sport Italia: “It’s important for me, for the team, it was a very difficult game against the best team in Italy.
“I am glad to have scored my first goal for Inter, very happy. I think we proved today that we are up to the task of challenging for the Scudetto.
“This gives us the confidence to keep pushing, to believe we can win the Scudetto, as we beat the strongest team over the last nine years. We believe that we can go all the way.”
Inter Milan now have the same amount of points as rivals and Serie A table-toppers AC Milan but remain second.
Juventus, on the other hand are seriously falling behind as they are fifth with seven points separating them from the top.
Juve, though, still have a game in hand and are expected to take on Napoli in the near future.
If the defending Italian champions don't snap out of it soon, though, then the title hunt could turn into a Milan affair.
Juventus barely got most of the possession as they dominated 51.2 per cent.
However, that did nothing for Juve as they never managed to control the tempo at the San Siro.
Inter produced a total of 17 shots, five of which were on target, compared to the Bianconeri's nine shots, of which four of them were on target.
The Nerazzurri got the better of what was the Serie A's joint best defence as they won 71.4 per cent of tackles.
FT: INTER MILAN 2-0 JUVENTUS.
Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte completely outpalyed Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo at the San Siro.
A composed and patient performance from Inter led to a comfortable victory over a hapless Juve, who lacked some serious creativity in attack as well as solidity in midfield and key players in defence.
The hosts opened the scoring after 12 minutes when a beautiful cross from Nicolo Barella found Arturo Vidal who headed the ball to the back of his former club's net.
Inter could have doubled the lead before half-time if Lautaro Martinez hadn't missed in front of open goal shortly after Vidal's opener.
Juventus struggled to get back in the game and saw their hopes of equalising destroyed in front of their very own eyes in the 52nd minute.
That was when Alessandro Bastoni produced an incredible cross from defence, which saw the ball reaching Barella in Juve's half.
The midfielder got a beautiful touch and beat Wojciech Szczesny for the second time in what marked the best assist of the season.
Juventus were completely unable to get back in the game as they missed chances with Weston McKennie's header and Federico Chiesa's strike.
