A further 23 people have died with coronavirus in Wales, taking the total to 2,307 according to the latest figures.

Public Health Wales data also showed 1,048 more people have tested positive, making a total of 69,497.

There have been a total of 1,356,861 tests conducted since the start of the outbreak in Wales.

Of the 861,829 people tested, some more than once, 792,332 tested negative for Covid-19.

Eight of the newly recorded deaths were in the Aneurin Bevan health board area, six in the Betsi Cadwaladr area,
five in Cwm Taf Morgannwg and four in Swansea Bay.

Blaenau Gwent currently has the highest weekly case rate, with 356.4 cases per 100,000 people, followed by
Merthyr Tydfil with 256.9 - and Rhondda Cynon Taf 0.3 cases behind at 256.6 per 100,000.

Anglesey has the lowest rate in Wales, with 22.8 cases recorded over seven days for 100,000 people,
with neighbouring Gwynedd the next lowest, at 34.5 per 100,000.

There were 11,809 tests carried out on Wednesday.

Cardiff saw the highest number of new cases, with 130 positive tests, followed by Rhondda Cynon Taf with 111
and Caerphilly and Swansea both with 87 newly reported cases.

PHW reports new deaths daily, but these are usually from previous days.

By 17 November, there was an average of around 20 deaths a day, with 29 deaths occurring on both 9 and
5 November, the highest daily figures since the start of May.

Acute patients from Powys are usually treated across the border at hospitals in England, so deaths of Powys
residents usually only appear in registrations reported later by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
